Original Chinoiserie artistry designed and painted by shop owner/artist June Parrish Cookson. Lending charm and sophistication, the overall decorative motifs feature fretwork, florals, birds, blossoming trees, and garden pagoda. Ground color painted in soft muted greenish-blue custom made chalk paint. Both side panels have matching designs. Bottom drawers and side doors offer ample storage space. The interior top portion has plate rack shelving.
Item professionally sprayed with (matte) water-based polyurethane clear varnish. Results ensure an attractive velvety patina including lasting durability.
Solid one-piece wood construction. Structurally sound. Artist signature and shop logo located on the backside.
An original treasure to be enjoyed and passed down for generations to come.

Heads up! The Chinoiserie folding floor screen on my
Chairish shop has officially sold. Now gone from my possession and residing in another home, my initial thoughts seeing it loaded onto the transit truck, was filled with sadness. But time heals. It's comforting realizing that the buyer thought enough of it to actually purchase. And this certainly helps keep me inspired to continue on my creative journey. In sum, all is good. The studio shop awaits my return.

Here is a series of original still life paintings featuring assorted fruits and even some hungry finches. Inspired by 17th- century Italian painter Giovanna Garzoni, I painted these in 1997 using acrylic paint on panel board.
